What You Will Need For Hamburger and Noodles

To make this quick and easy hamburger and noodles dinner, you’ll need 1 lb. ground beef, 1 small onion (diced), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 28-oz. can diced tomatoes, 16 oz. fettuccine noodles, 2 cups shredded mozzarella, and seasonings such as salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, or basil.

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 28 ounces Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasonings
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 16 Ounces Fettuccine (thin)

Brown the Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and no pink remains. Next add the garlic and cook for another minute or two. Drain off any excess fat if desired, then stir in the diced tomatoes (including juice from the can) and Italian seasonings. Add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil.

Boil the Noodles.

Once the mixture comes to a boil, add in the noodles, stirring to combine. Lower the heat to a gentle simmer and cook uncovered until the noodles are tender, about 10 minutes or so. Check the pan occasionally while cooking, re-seasoning as necessary. When finished, top with cheese and serve immediately! Enjoy!

You are welcome to substitute any noodle you have in the pantry. I have made this with egg noodles, spaghetti and also linguine. All turned out great!

Prepare the Sauce & Simmer Hamburger and Noodles Together.

In a shallow saucepan or skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking up clumps with a spoon as needed. Add the garlic and onions, stirring to bake until softened. Add the tomatoes, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine ingredients completely and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

Once the sauce is at a gentle boil, add in the cooked noodles and stir until fully combined. Cook for another 3 minutes or so until the noodles are hot, stirring occasionally.
