Kraft Miracle Whip Coleslaw Dressing Recipe {Kitchen Hack Version}

A creamy tangy Miracle Whip coleslaw dressing tossed with fresh crunchy cabbage and carrots is a great side dish for any summer sandwich.

Miracle Whip Coleslaw always brings me back to my childhood instantly. The Kraft creamy, tangy dressing mixed with a healthy dose of freshly cracked black pepper, vinegar, sugar and spices mixed with box grated cabbage and carrots was a staple in our summer kitchen.

My Mom often allowed me to do the box grating of the cabbage and carrots while she kept a watchful eye. Then she did her magic and fixed up the slaw as only a Mom can do. A pinch of this and a pinch of that. I didn’t even know what mayonnaise was until I hit high school.

So, Mom, this Miracle Whip coleslaw dressing recipe is for you, just in time for our 4th of July backyard cookout.

Start With Miracle Whip

Is Kraft Miracle Whip and mayonnaise the same thing? Miracle Whip is an alternative to everyday mayonnaise. It is made with some of the same ingredients as mayonnaise. You’ll find oil, vinegar and eggs in Miracle Whip, the same as mayonnaise. But Miracle Whip contains added sugar and spices that make it a dressing rather than a mayonnaise.

    Pretty good. I left out the tomatoes and used regular mustard instead of dry mustard because that was all I had. Thanks for the recipe.
