Copycat Big Macs

Ingredients

  • ½ pound Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Iceberg lettuce
  • 4 Tbsp White Onion divided
  • 3 Sesame Seed Hamburger Rolls
  • 2 Slices American Cheese
  • 4 Slices Dill Pickle
  • ½ Cup Miracle Whip
  • 4 Tbsp Pickle Relish
  • 1 Tbsp French dressing
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Start the copycat Big Mac by making the special sauce. In a small mixing bowl combine Miracle Whip salad dressing (1/2 cup), French dressing (1 tbsp), pickle relish (2 tbsp), minced onion (1 tbsp) sugar, (2 tsp) and a pinch of salt. Mix the ingredients and then set aside
  • Next, weigh the ground beef into 2 ounce portions and the press the beef into 4 to 5 inch patties.
  • Lightly toast the sesame seed buns (we use Arnold's) on a preheated griddle. You'll use a bottom sliced bun for the middle layer of the sandwich. Also known as the club layer. So as not waste any buns, I also sliced the top of the extra bun to make another middle layer for the burgers. No one's going to know.
  • Put the burger patties on the hot grill and season with salt and pepper. let the copycat big mac burgers cook for 2 minutes and then flip them over. Cook the big mac copycat burgers for another 2 minutes and then assemble the sandwiches.
  • Start to assemble the copycat big macs by spreading the special sauce (4 tbsp) all over the bottom buns and the middle (club) buns. Then, add shredded lettuce (1 cup)and fine diced onions (1 tbsp)
  • Then, add the sliced American cheese (2 slices) to the bottom buns and sliced dill pickle chips (4 slices) to the middle buns.
  • Finally, top each of the halves with a copycat Big Mac burger and then top the sandwich with the crown bun.
