Ingredients
Bang Bang Bang Sauce
¾cupMayonnaise
¼cupChili sauce
1tspSriracha sauce
Bang Bang Shrimp
½poundRaw shrimp31-40 count per pound
¾cupCornstarch
1tbspall purpose flour
1cupButtermilk
1tbspLemon juice
3Flour tortillas
1cupDiced tomatoes
1cupIceberg lettuce
2tbspSour cream
Scallion for garnish
Lime
Canola oil for frying
Instructions
Make the Bang bang sauce by combining the mayonnaise, chili sauce and Sriracha sauce.
Pour the buttermilk and lemon juice over the shrimp and set aside for 30 minutes to marinate.
Mix the cornstarch and flour together.
Heat 2 cups of canola oil in a fryer or heavy bottomed pan to 375 degrees.
Strain the shrimp and then dredge the shrimp in the cornstarch mixture.
Shake of any excess dredge and deep fry the shrimp for 4 minutes. Carefully remove the shrimp from the hot oil with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels.
Warm the tortillas on a griddle or in a pan.
Toss the crispy bang bang shrimp in the sauce and coat well.
Fill the warm tortillas with shredded lettuce and then top with the Bang Bang shrimp, tomatoes, scallion and sour cream.
Garnish the tacos with lime wedges and extra Bang Bang sauce. Serve immediately. Enjoy !
