Ingredients

  • 1 pound of thinly sliced beef such as top round or flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 175 °F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, and chili powder.
  • Place the sliced beef in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over it, making sure to coat all the slices evenly. Allow the beef to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight.
  • After the beef has marinated, lay the slices out on the prepared baking sheet and place them in the preheated oven. Bake for 3–4 hours, or until the jerky is dry and chewy.
