Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups tomato sauce or canned tomatoes drained
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, cook the beef with the onion until it is no longer pink. Add in garlic and stir for about one minute.
  • Add tomato sauce or canned tomatoes (drained), apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon and allspice to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally so that the chili doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired. Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, diced onions or sour cream. Enjoy!
