Beechtree Catering & The Water’s Edge Events Center
In 2008, my partners and I founded Beechtree Catering. Beechtree quickly established itself in the mid-Atlantic region as a premier onsite and offsite catering company.
Receiving the Department of Defense approval allowed Beechtree access to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The Army contracts and civilian contacts acquired at A.P.G. spurred our upstart catering company to set an ambitious project goal of building and operating The Water’s Edge Events Center.
After Beechtree Caterings’ completion and successful opening of the highly anticipated Water’s Edge Events Center I returned to my catering roots and began working with one of the country’s largest independent caterers.

The Journey Begins With Throwdown Kitchen
After 40 years on the high-profile catering and fine dining scene, I chose to follow my passion for casual entertaining. Saying goodbye to Truffle Oils and Beef Wellington and choosing Maryland Pit Beef, Crab Cakes, Burgers and Barbecue wasn’t even a hard decision. It’s all about family and friends and people get that!
