Vietnamese American Style Garlic Noodles

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dried spaghetti or linguine noodles
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, salt, and pepper and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Drain the noodles and add them to the skillet with the garlic sauce. Toss the noodles to coat them evenly in the sauce.
  • Serve the noodles hot, garnished with the sliced green onions.
