HOW TO MAKE BEER BREAD

This is how to make beer bread when you're at home and supplies are running low. You've got beer, flour and bacon. What are you going to do? Drink the beer and eat the bacon.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups self rising flour
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 bottle beer 12 ounces

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F. Lightly grease a 9 inch x 5 inch loaf pan.
  • Mix the flour, sugar, butter and beer, stirring the batter until quite smooth. A few lumps will be OK
  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan and smooth out the top of the batter
  • Bake the bread for 55 to 60 minutes. Insert a stick or skewer into the loaf. If the skewer comes out without any sticky batter , then the bread is done.
  • Remove the bread from the oven and let rest 10 minutes.
  • Turn the bread out onto a cutting board and enjoy!
